The EPA’S Air Quality App

CNN reported on a powerful new app from the EPA that allows users to enter a zip code and receive information about pollutants and ozone levels around the United States. The app currently gives information for 400 cities around the countries.

I tried the app, putting in the zip code for Dexter, Michigan and it returned results for Ann Arbor. The air quality index was 41, which is considered good. There is a large green circle around the result which visually supports the score. You can download the Iphone app here.

If you don’t have a mobile device, the EPA has website devoted to Air Quality Notifications; you can get there here.
